Our Story
Founded in 2015, Abyss & Ascent began with a simple mission: to make the underwater world accessible to everyone while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. What started as a small dive shop with two instructors has grown into one of the region's most trusted diving education centers.
Our founder, Sarah Mitchell, fell in love with diving during a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Inspired by the beauty and tranquility of the underwater world, she dedicated her life to sharing this passion with others. Today, we've certified over 2,000 divers and built a community of ocean enthusiasts who share our love for marine exploration.
